wrx turbo

there is a 99-00 wrx turbo for sale in the parts sled and i was wondering if it is a TD05 or did thoes only come in the wrxs overseas and if that turbo that is for sale be a good choice for an upgrade. i was planing to get an intercooler piped for when i upgrade the turbo so other than the intake is there any special precautions that i need to make before trying to do an install.
a '99-00 WRX turbo is a TD04, just like the USDM ones. The TD05 was discontinued with the release of the my97 WRX and the intake plumbing redesign. That turbo would not be a major upgrade for you and would require a fair bit of customization because it doesn't have the 90 degree inlet...
