I've seen so many turbo cars these day's its ridiculous.
This morning, Mazda Miata with a nice front mount setup.
Went to the shop to get my custom IC pipe made, and in the shop was a Turbo Sentra. A Turbo ZX2 Escort. A Turbo Integra (one of the owners cars), and a 240whp WRX (other owners car). There are also a TON of Turbo Civic's around me. And lest we forget the 10 second, semi-gutted interior, Honda Civic that is daily driven. There is also Dado's (from DTMpower.net) 450whp Turbo M3. Blown Firebirds and whatnots.
I mean holy crap. Everything is turbo these days. Every car in MD is a Sleeper to the max!

Cheap power. No one can afford to stuff a huge engine into their Protoge'

Turbos are the new displacement!

Yeah, people are starting to understand. "There's no replacement for displacement" is a fallacy. The truth is there's no substitute for airflow.

Not many around here as insurance is rediculous and inspection and dyno emissions on anything under 15 yrs can be a PITA.
Of course my car's last bi-annual emissions check is this year...

Ditto.. only the WRX's the few new SRT4's and a handful of civics, that's about it.

Man, that's weird!
Well, Maryland (my area specifically) is the Mecca of east-coast perfomrance shops. The worlds fastest drag 3000GT/Dodge Stealth lives not 10 minutes from me. There's maybe 13 or so performance shops ranging from full rice to full race within a 20 mile radius.
I guess I shouldn't be so surprised then.

Yeah, turbos are everywhere. Except in my cars.

My cat's name is Turbo too

Really? Awesome!
Turbo was my second choice for the name of my cat. My mom wouldn't let me call it my first choice.
#1 choice was "The Toaster". "Hey, can you bring me The Toaster?" "I think The Toaster is in the garage or maybe on the roof" "I hope the Toaster didn't fall behind the sink"
Works on so many levels. It would confuse the shit out of everyone too.

I just called my mother's cat 'cat'. Easy to remember.

My cat's name is Rambo. And rightfully so. It kills EVERYTHING. Chipmunks, squirrels, birds, hell... even small dogs and children. Nothing is safe.

I went to the dealer auction today and saw a miata... not just any miata... a TURBO miata. Not Mazdaspeed either. It was a 2001 Magazine quality showcar. I am bidding on it tomorrow for the company. Window chalk said 267whp

!! in a miata! No V8 conversion! It would be an autocrossers dream. (Salivation insues)
If things go right, it'll be sittin on my lot and up for sale on Ebay.
...and the cat struck again last night. Poor lil squirrel.

Sounds sweet!
I had a cat named Gypsy growing up. She was pure black and a straight killer. once she sneaked up on some birds and when they spooked I saw her jump and snatch a bird from mid air at about 4'. She would also attack dogs up to the size of smaller labs without heitation. I really loved that cat....

Turbo is a hunter. I have watched her from my parents balcony. She'll crawl through the grass and attack a rabbit or bird or something. She's fast as hell too.
I test drove and almost bought a 1991 Turbo Miata. Just a touch over 200whp. I can honestly say it was the coolest car I test drove. But it was just way to impractical for me (espically being a scant 6'1" tall). I got the Turbo Legacy instead, and I don't regret it in the least. The Legacy can do things the Miata never could (like drive in the snow, and allow the use of a rear seat).
