Does the WRX shifter linkage will direct fits into BC style Legacy turbo?
If it doesn't direct fit, what kind of modify I needs to make this installation to a Legacy turbo?
Thanks for reply!

There is a thread about this already ( a few actually) It fits fine but you need an adapter so it will connect properly.

Thanks for your reply MK, but do you know what kind of adapter I needs?
Will it comes with the WRX linkage as well or I have to buy it at the dealer?

Yeah, you WILL need it to install the wrx linkage, the one that is on the legacy doesn't line up the same w/ the wrx linkage. part # is 35047AC030

How hard or easy to install this kind of linkage?
Does anyone has the write up for the installation?
Thanks for help!

It's exactly the same as installing the stock shift linkage (easy), except you will need to remove the roll pin that holds the adapter piece onto the tranny. I suggest getting an actual rollpin punch and a large hammer to do it. If you can't get it, a shop with an impact hammer can.

You'll need the adapter for either wrx or sti linkage. I am extremely happy w/ my wrx linkage, several others have the sti and really like it too. If i had the money, i would have gone w/ sti (200 more

)
From homeslice's post in the parts shed:

no need for a picture of the stock one it's sitting in the trunk

I take it the legacy linkage is like the cyl part, instead of the U part like the wrx.

No, I think it's just a different size.
I've collected all the parts, and looked at everything on the car, but have not taken it apart yet.
By the way, there is (or should be) a roll pin inside another roll pin.

Does anyone know how much the adapter piece costs? I can get a WRX shifter w/ only 18k miles on it for pretty much free and I really need to address my stock setup because it's soooo sloppy.

Ouch. That's a little salty.

Since I'm getting the shifter pretty much free though I guess it's worth it.

Matt, try AutoWebAccessories.com! Maybe it'll be a few bucks cheaper.
