Got them last sunday. $200 for all 4 with brand new tires (RE92's). Stock 205/55R16 size.
What do you think?

I think the WRX wheels look good on everything but the WRX.

I love that color - even makes a sedan look good!
Actually saw a non-turbo, non-GT wagon, probably 1994 in the same color today. Held up traffic to check it out.

I think it looks great. Really like the color.
It's really hard to get a better deal for wheels and tire's than WRX take offs. I have a set on my wagon and they look much better than the stock wheels.

N-n-n-nice! I love it! I think the USDM OEM WRX 16" wheels look
really good on the BC/BF's . Hmmm.... I'm going to need to do something to differentiate our cars (besides color and my OEM clear corners

) from each other so I guess it's time for me to get a 16G!

Haha, I wish

Yea, our cars are strangely similar, lol. Same wheels/tires, exhaust, intercooler (mine is all aluminum

), FCD, probably some other stuff too, lol.
I love how it looks with the WRX wheels. Better than the stockers and better than the wheels I had.
When we took the car to the mechanic, my dad drove it (I followed in my truck. No tags, so I couldn't drive it). Goddamn that's a sharp looking car. Looks exactly like a regular stock Legacy

. Little will people know...

Your car looks great. The WRX wheels do work pretty well on a BC. They just look so damn plain on a WRX. I think they look pretty good on my GF wagon, too. For the $200 you paid you just can't beat it.
I need to find a local deal like that to put on my Legacy for winter.

Thanks Steve!
I have the only Turbo Sedan that I've ever seen in my color. I've never seen any other Subaru in this color, but others say they have seen N/A sedans, and Touring Wagons in this color.
I love the color. It attracts a lot of attention, but almost none at the same time... if that makes sense...

That's what I love about these cars, with a few little things they really look great, but they don't stand out from the crowd at the same time. People only notice them when something else leads them to look at them. With the right wheels and color I think they look like a well-built, but not huge guy with an expensive, well-tailored suit at a party. The in-your-face clowns may get more attention, but the gu in the suit's got the class without even trying. The great thing is that only the people who matter notice and the guy can choose wants he wants them to notice.
The turbo front bumper makes a huge difference on the facelifted model - I don't care for the N/A facelift look that much.

BEAUTIFUL!!! WRX wheels really add to the classic look IMO.
If you like window tint, MD state laws allow for a 35% film on front doors and same or as dark as you'd like in the back. I think that would make it even classier. Then add a visor strip across the top of the windshield, contoured to the top of the windshield, with a 5% film if you're going to dechrome your car; or, if you'll keep the chrome, a 20% or 15% first layer overlaid with 35% or 20% all metal film overlapped about 1/4 inch--this will give a subtle, yet distinctive, "finish" to the visor strip and make other visor strips look plain by comparison.
Then, in the future, possibly lower your car 1 to 1 1/2 inches with 50 series tires?
But even if you don't do anything to your car, you can drive it around with pride! I think it's a really good looking car!

I've been considering going with 20% tint, but I don't think my car is dark enough to get away with that (dark cars can get away with dark tint better than lighter cars as the contrast is less).
I'll probably get it tinted this summer.
Lowering is likely not going to happen. Not because it's expensive or anything (hell, 4 hours and under $200 could get me dropped an inch or so on S-Tech springs). I likely won't lower it because I don't want to scrape my exhaust.
Also, did anyone notice my blacked out markers? Car flows better without them, doesn't it?

they do look nice, didnt even notice, which, i suppose, is the point.

Yeah, as soon as you can possibly justify it, you should replace the RE92 with a better tire in the appropriate size. Run the RE92's 'til you notice the grip get worse. You will certainly notice it. That being said I think I put almost 40k miles on my WRX take offs before I replaced the tires. It's just that it's so much better with good tires. And of course having the appropriate size tires on the car will help, too.

What did you black the chrome with? just paint?

Trim tape from Pep-boys. Like $4.99 a roll, and it matches the trim perfectly (slightly darker than my faded trim but A) Not noticeable unless you are down on it, and B) It'll fade a tiny bit I imagine).

When I black out the chrome, I am planning on completely removing the chrome strip as it's already peeling away from the black strip. I am then going to go to a plastics store and find an appropriately sized black strip that I can replace the chrome strip with. I think it'll be a more permanent solution...if I ever get around to doing it.

The door panel trim does not seperate from the black part, only on the bumpers.

Thanks BAC5.2. I didn't know that. How is the chrome stip affixed to the plastic strip on the doors then?
