This may be a bit trival but thought I'd still share. I fly radio control airplanes and the club's flying field is on top of a capped landfill that is still in use as a transfer station so I always have to across the scales during operation hours so they know I'm up there. Well yesterday upon leaving I asked the lady for kicks how much my car weighed and she told me I was sitting at 2900lb. Keep in mind that I have removed the AC system from the car but I also keep my tools (sockets, wrenches, etc.) and a spare thing of collant in the back. I am going to try and sweet talk the lady into letting me just put my front tires on the scales and getting the weight and again with just my back tires on the scales so I can figure out my weight distro (I figure I'm getting close to 50/50 now that I've removed the AC and sliding on the dirt roads the is getting pretty close to nutreul, the understeer is noticably less now that's the AC is gone). If I can find out my distro I'll let you guys know. Like I said, this may be trival but I thought I'd share incase someone else can get something out of it.

I refuse to own a car that is not a manual :). The only exception I will make to this rule is a full size van or a truck but then again, those aren't cars...

Careful citing your actual weight on the board. People will quote brochures and generic web sites that say different

Thanks, I figure I trust the landfill. I know their scales are accurate to at least 25lbs but yeah I am sure there are places that say my car should weigh different.

that was w/you in it?
if so that sound right to me the NADA book says 2650lbs. and i think that is dry weight. so add fluids and fuel and what not. i removed the entire interior of the trunk for rallyx along w/tray and spare as well as back seat and rubber noise/dust mat. i also ditched that heavy outer trim panel of the back of the trunk after it got smashed by a guy that backed into me while i was at work. you should see the trunk fly up now. that panel has what appears to be tin or lead to add weight to it to regulate the speed of the trunk. w/out it it looks like the trunk is going to slam into the rear window. combine the weight loss w/some toe out and se really is tail happy on the rallyx course. turns in nice too. i can actually get a 4wheel drift going around some loose open hairpins if the entrance speed is around 40mph.
