WRX caliper question...

Will our calipers bolt onto WRX brackets?
www.SubaruWRXParts.com has the brackets and rotors for $225, but I was wondering if our calipers were the same, or not.

No, they won't. The caliper style changed somewhere along the way.

BAC.....why in the do you want wrx calipers rear brakes??
They are exactly the same in terms of disc size/thickness, and caliper piston size as the first gen legacies (with 1.5" rear piston..wagons & tlegacy). They're the same!!
I guess I don't know what base you are starting with. But unless you have a sedan without abs I think the piston size is the same as the wrx. You will get no benefit. You'd be better off just getting a set of rebuilt calipers from the parts store for a legacy wagon, get new rotors and be done with it. Rear brakes really did not change in terms of performance over the years. The bracket and caliper style did...but I doubt it changed the performance of things at all.

I think he's changed his mind on the rears and is going for the fronts now Josh.

Yep, Mr.Quick would be correct.
A wagon bias valve would probably help out the rear of the car. I'm strictly looking at front setups now. Just curious if the Turbo Legacy caliper is the same as the WRX caliper.

It's the same as the 93-96 WRX caliper, but not the new age one.

A wagon prop valve did help mine a little, but the H6 setup will help more. The overall % increase in rear torque was a tad less then the H6 swap, however the % increase was not linear from initial braking, it was only after the split point that the % increase was actually there.
I think I have a thread posted in here with a link to all the math and graphs I did.....if you're interested in seeing it.
