Anyone running these tires?
I've read a bunch of reviews and people say they have the grip of the Bridgestone S-03's with the life of the RE-92.
Is anyone running these or heard anything else about them?

I've heard their really soft compound tires and wear quickly under spirited driving conditions. But for the price a very good tire.

Indeed. . . anyone saying you're going to get any real longevity out of Proxes is full of shit.
They're not cheap either, from what I hear.

Weird, my neighbor has gotten like 30k or something out of his TPT's.
I heard the 4's have the treadwear of a RE92, with the grip of an S-03. I guess we are all reading different things, lol.
Who online sells toyos?

Hmmm, nobody online I know of. Les Schwab carries them, and Discount Tire/American Tire can certainly get them at a very competitive price.

www.1010tires.com. They sell the Toyo Proxes 4 along with customers rating and comments of them. I don't know if they are the most reasonable in price there but the price seems decent

Proxes T1S are much better than the FZ4s

That'w what I hear and read--T1S are better than FZ4. Mike Shields says FZ$s are 80% performance of T1S. But the FZ4s are being phased out. The new Proxes 4 (some call them "P4") are supposed to be much better than the FZ4s and close to the T1S but probably not better.

edgeracing.com sells Proxes 4 for $78/tire (205/50VR16) plus S/H.

You can measure the treadwear of a T1-S with a stopwatch, the Proxes 4's have a bit better durability.
My buddy will be getting them soon, and I'm going to mount one of his on my WRX rims to see if they will rub in the size I really want (225/50R16). Otherwise, I'll just get the stock WRX 205/55R16 or figure out a 215 that'll fit well.

Phil- If I were you I'd drop to a 205/50R16 if you can't go with the 225's. 205/50R16 is the same diameter as the stock 195/60R15. You might not think it would matter much but it does. Your car will accelerate much nicer, trust me.

Think so? I'll think about it. If I can fit the 225's (225/50/16 is identical to the 205/55/16 stock WRX tires) then I will probably go that route.
Otherwise, i've got no reason to not go with a 205/50/16 over the stock wrx 205/55/16.

You are correct, that is the stock size for a WRX. Problem is that you don't have a WRX. Stock size on your car is 195/60/15. On a 16" rim, a 205/50 is close to stock size. 225/50 is off more than 2%. 225/45 is close, if it does not rub. The taller 225/50 will most surely rub.
Really, you don't want 205/55/16. There is no benefit, except that tires are cheaper.
Check out the tire size calculator. Put 195/60/15 in for the stock size, and play with the numbers on the right side.

When I bought my Sport Sedan, it had 195/65 on the stock 15" wheels. Sucked. It's much better now on the lower profile.

Thanks for the heads up on my typo. I meant 225/50/16, and have corrected my post.

This is very true, my step-brother spent about $1500 for a set of 4, and they didn't seem to last all that long
