And my loaner for the day. . .

Kept thinking of that scene in "Not Another Teen Movie" with three boys driving all of about 200 ft. in one of the guys' mom's Forester to Preston's party.

I drove a 3.0 R at the Ride & Drive yesterday. Very nice on the road, good acceleration and very competent in the dirt.

They even have STi parts for it already!

 YES.

I'm assuming suspension, etc? Kinda doubt the engine stuff would work very well. :P

The stuff i saw was just dress up. They had 5MT and 4/5EAT pedals, MOMO shift knob and door sill covers on the "accessories" car.

Ahhh, yes. Noticed those on the SOA website. Only a matter of time before more stuff makes its way here, too. ;)

The number one turn on for me is the 5eat. The 4eat was the one of the reasons my mom didn't get a Forester 2.5XT (premium package).

I wish I got a Forester as a rental car for a week or so. Attack dirt and gravel like it ain't no thang.

Been driving one all day, Phil. Believe me, unless you get into an XT, they're really not that exciting.

I'd be more interested in jumping and sliding it than accelerating in it.

Yea, but the legacy is MINE. A rental Forester isn't.

I checked one out today.

DAMN, that is a HOT car. I can't WAIT to see the 2.5GT, I might have to ask my mom if we can go test drive one. It looks so friggin mean. The Outback wagon (and sedan) are pretty big looking. Espically in the ground clearance department.

The hood bulges make the front end look great. I wish my mom had held out and gotten a 2.5GT or Outback wagon or something instead of the Buick she got. That would have been money.
