What to do.. (EJ22T not delivered yet)

When I sold my engine to a dude in New York in February, he paid me the total amount for the engine and shipping and I got a frieght company to deliver the engine to him in NY.
almost over 3 months later, I get a call from the brokerage firm saying he has yet to get in contact with him, Phone, mail, etc.
I haven't been able to get in touch with him either, PM or Email....
I'm going to contact the shippers in NY tomorrow, so what should I do, since it's co-signed on me, if they don't want to hold it anymore.
I know a bunch of you all might say give it too me......
well... we'll see what happens.
But what would you do in this situation?
I mean it's wierd he didn't contact them at all yet... 1000$ is a whole lot of money to just say bye too.
Thoughts? Comments?

Give it to me. I'll go to NY and pick it up. If he doesn't claim it within a set period, and you are a co-signer, then you have every right to do what you want with it.
Seriously dude, give it to me

Have you tried to find his phone number or other contact information? Maybe see if other forum members know him?

Could you refund him the cost of the engine minus shipping for return to you? You could warn him via post on NASIOC first to give him a week or something. At least he paid you.

Nope, won't be giving refunds. It was way too much of a hassle to get across the border in the first place let alone all the other stuff.
Yeah at least he paid me indeed...

I forgot you were in Canada. I guess still what I suggested, but without the refund. Maybe you'll be able to sell it again and pocket whatever shipping didn't take out.

I won't resell it.
Just ask for some sort of friendly gesture for the person who gets the engine free. and shipped to them.

Friendly gesture? I have a lesbian sister who's attractive, nice, and shows signs of interest in guys. You just need to dispose of her special friend (which I can offer assistance in) and you've got my blessing to show her what a real guy's like (not one that tries to act like a very poor example of one). How's that for friendly?

I'm calling the place now to see what the deal is.

Ok, here's the deal
The buyer has until monday to contact me.
After monday it is going to be costing me money for every day stored.. I don't want that.
If he does not. I will give up the engine to the first person to PM Me on monday evening.
That being said, you must either pick up the engine in Maspeth NY or arrange to pay for shipping within NY State, to another Yellow Transport Terminal, I don't think they'll deliver to your house.
I'm not asking any money for this, as I just want it off my hands.

Since I'm unemployed this would be a quick couple bucks for me, but since I DO have a turbo engine already, I'll stay out of everyone else's way on this. Plus explaining one engine in my kitchen is hard enough!

Wow, first off that's quite a gesture you're offering. A free turbo engine minus shipping, damn. Secondly, Steve - lol. I hope someone gets good use out of it and glad you got your money first out of it.

Damn, I'll even pick it up! It sucks because I'll be in atlantic city this weekend at SEMA. So I'll have to come home, then turn around and drive all the way up to NY again
When do you need the engine picked up by?
