Dash Question, what are these that fell out

Tonight I took my dash apart so I can replace some instrument lights, and two little black rubber pieces that look like jumpers that are used with hard drives or optical drives in computers, what are these, and where did they come from, and do I need them...

I am sure it does, but I havn't tried. I am wondering if they have something to do with the air ducts system? When they fell out, it looks like they fell from this area...

i havent seen any in my dash. maybe they got stuck in there from a previous owner

That is what might have happened, I think the previous/original owner did something with computers, or owned a business that dealt with alot of computers...
