Do the Legacy Turbos use the same oil filters as the non-turbos?
I was about to change my oil and was thinking that I have a few oil filters for my old wagon that I could use on my SS if they were the same.

Yeah, the listed part number is the same.
Buuuuut.... there's a little more to know:
Subaru has recently started selling a different oil filter for MY02-on turbocharged Impreza/Baja/Forester models. This new filter is smaller in diameter and comes from a different manufacturer. It's not 100% certain, but at least some credible statements have been made saying that the reason for the change is to keep the oil filter further away from the exhaust manifold; MY02-on turbos have oil coolers which bring the oil filter very close to the exhaust manifold.
1991 Legacy Turbos also have this oil cooler. Subaru's official statements make no mention of the 91 Legacy Turbo, though.
I believe Subaru does say you can still use the other filter (which is the same as for all the non-turbo EJ22/EJ25 models) though, but that you shouldn't buy any more of them.
And of course all the 91 turbos in existence have spent most of their lives using the bigger filters, and not too many of them suffer from engine problems, so... I dunno.
For what it's worth, I've done three oil-and-filter changes on my car since I installed my oil cooler, and each time I've used a Purolator 14460 filter, which is the same as for the non-turbos. I haven't noticed any problems.

I may switch to the newer ones later.
I also had some Penske ones that were smaller in diameter and a bit longer than the Purolator one I took off and the one I put on (also Purolator).
