Just looking for some tips maybe some step by step??

I have removed the interior on my bmw but never anything else.

What do I start with ?? seats I would think?

I am a complete NEWB to this car..

Some hack mechanic cut a 3 by 2 inch hole in the carpet to try to fix the trunk release cable so now there is just a whole and the metal is starting to rust..

I would like to fix this spot and check for more rust..

I would think it is common for these car to rust near the pedals or other places?

I just riped out carpet in my bmw last year to find some very large holes   And would like to keep my Subura hole free..

Thanks.

Mtk has...

I think Ryan has too...

It's quite easy to do...
You should just look for every screw possible and keep them in order, and pull stuff here and there, if there is resistance, find other screws...

The seats, console, carpet is real easy to do.
2 bolts for the bench, 3 bolts for the rear seatback, 4 for each front seat...

If you get stuck pm me I"m normally around to answer q's and I've done one interior removal... that was more of a dismemberment...

You're replacing just the carpet? You can leave the dash in for that. But you will have to remove everything else that touches the floor, seats, lower b pillar, door sills, the two small panels on each side under the dash, and the center console.

Not replacing but just want to make sure the rust is under control under there..

Its common on my bmw to have leaky everything  Just want to make sure this car is not the same..

But from what I've read so far these car just seem to have leaky sunroofs.

I haven't seen any issues with the floor under the pedals or much anywhere. I touch-up undercoat the car with spray-on stuff every year to keep it that way. You might check under the e-brake where the one bolt holds it down on the front - that's the only trouble spot I've seen with the floor.
