Suspension raise?

It snows pretty hard here in MN during the winter, and I'd like to get some extra ground clearance, along with some beefier tires.
Are there any lift kits for our cars?
What would be a good "off-road" style tire to use, and in what size?

Scorpion makes lift kits for pretty much all Subaru models.

you can also get longer springs. but it seems like decreased downtravel could cause control issues. they have the lifts and the springs in the offroad section of this page

Get an Outback suspension and bolt it in for winter.
