2003 RS struts and springs for a '91L+ Lecacy?

by mile hi
I have some almost new struts and springs from a 2003 Impreza RS and want to put them on my latest a '91 L+ Legacy. The legacy springs do have some taper and are smaller at the top.
This car will mainly be used on the road so ride is important and I wouldn't mind it being a bit lower. Do I buy the new top hats ???
I also have the old springs from my '95 Impreza coupe would these be usable?? Or possibly use the springs from the RS ??

You'll definitely need new top hats in the rear.

It may sit a little low with the impreza springs.......but I think others have done it with decent success. There's a few threads out there with more info.

I think I am going with the struts and springs from the RS with new top-hats in the rear. A 1.5" drop won't bother me and I am not going to push this car as far as handling. My Impreza that is for sale has AGX struts with Ziggen springs and most of the suspension and brakes came fron a Turbo Legacy wagon,
