AGX struts with lowered suspension

I've heard conflicting reports, and haven't heard back from KYB on their "official" stance. But I am curious who is/has run AGX struts with lowering springs. How many miles do you have, any issues?

I've got just a tad over 1.5" drop in the front and a 1" drop in the rear.

My friend has a civic running agx and lowering springs. One of the struts blew out and kyb would not replace it under warranty.

Any strut will have a shorter life if run out of spec

Ok.....so that's definitely the second confirmation I've heard of an AGX blowing out under lowered suspension. I wonder if they have the same issues with the GR2's? I've been running them with lowered suspension for quite some time now......

Looks like I need to get a hold of KYB.....bastards didn't return my email.

Laurel is running AGX's on Whiteline springs and hasn't had any problems that she's mentioned.

I was under the impression that with correct adjustment, the AGX's would be fine with lowered suspension.

If KYB was smart (and had infinite amounts of R&D budget) they would engineer struts for lowered suspensions. Charge more for them, and people would think they needed them because they make them. The sheer fact that a company makes a product is more than enough to convince 95% of the population that they NEED that product.

i've had absolutely NO Problems with my agx's on whitelines, given, I'm dropped very little, but still.

what setting would be optimal for street driving to prolong the life of my shocks?

In about two days, I'll be running Whiteline control springs with my GR2's. I won't know for a while how well they'll hold up, but I'm hopeful.
