The bad news first.

My WRX coolant tank came in today. My car has been out of commission since the 9th (going on 2 weeks). I picked it up and ran some errands with my buddy. Went to get food, chilled out a bit, then went back to the house.

Took the tank out of the box and something looked odd. Right tank, right part, everything was right, but something was off.

I tried to get my radiator cap onto the new tank. Whoops. Some dipshit had dropped the box and bent the "neck" of the tank. It was buckled, misshapen, and ovalized. I immediately drove back to Subaru and asked what was going on. He ordered a new one, should be here tomorrow or Thursday. That's 3 strikes for Subaru. Bad IAC, Wrong part, Damaged part.

The Good.

2 good's actually.

1) I reserved my copy of GT4 today. I'll have it in just over 1 month, Sept. 2nd.

2) I got my Tim Allen book in the mail. "I'm Not Really Here." He wrote it in 96, I think. I didn't have much time, so I only got through like 20 pages, but I was laughing hysterically. So much so that my parents woke up and asked if I was OK. I've also got his other book, "Don't Stand To Close To a Naked Man," which is also ridiculously funny. I had to special order the book from Borders. Cost me 10 bucks to get it at my door. If the following pages are even 1/2 as funny as the first 20, then it was the best 10 bucks I've spent in a long time.

The better:

I met an AWESOME girl. Simply the most amazing girl I've ever met. Met her through my friend. We immediately clicked. We've hung out almost every day since we met. I'm really hoping things solidify between us. I have never met anyone like her. Tons in common, she has an amazing personality, and goddamn is she hot. She doesn't have much of an interest in the mechanical aspect of my car (although I think the system will make her smile), but she likes how it looks [minus the 4" tip].

This car is causing me a lot of greif, but it's definately worth it. The sound of it running right off the CES downpipe is etched into my brain and the idea of it makes me smile ear to ear. Just the thought of hearing that turbo spool and the exhaust rumble, it raises hairs on the back of my neck... or maybe it's the thought of the girl... or both ;).

Sounds like a good deal to me. Doesn't waiting for parts SUCK? especialy when they are essential parts. Called to check up on my radiator that I ordered, its backordered. So now I have to track down a used one untill the new one gets in

my cars been outta commision (more or less) for over 2 months  im going INSANE, and am getting sick of driving the mini van.

my car= fast manueverable dolphin
mini-van= big huge fat slow cow trying to swim

Word. I miss my car :(

I've owned her for 6 months, and I have driven her for only like 1/2 of that. Once this is taken care of, and my FCD is in, and my IAC is fixed, then everything SHOULD be fine, and I SHOULD be good for a while.

To get this car to run 100% and be reliable on 15psi, it's worth almost any money I could throw at it.

Definetly worth it to be reliable and running at 15 psi. once I get my car up and running again im gonna try to run at 12 psi, I hit that on a rainy night after I reworkd my IC set up and it just pulled and pulled and pulled

My car also SHOULD be running well for a while once its fixed, hell I just dumped 5 grand into the thing, it better run well!

It's good to hear that GT4 is set to come out soon. I won't be reserving a copy because I'm sure I'll be able to get one when they come out. I was just thinking about breaking out GT3 the other day but I played golf instead.

I think it's time to try a different dealer Phil. These guys sound like asshats.

That's cool you met a new girl, good luck. :)

Werd! I had heard it wasn't coming out until Nov. I actually started a new season recently and I'm trying to do it with different cars this time. Like instead of starting out with thr Treano XX or whatever it's called, I started with a Miata.
