A/C Dying

Well it's been warm, scratch that, HOT here the past few days and I've been running the max a/c with the sunroof open for a few long drives.

yesterday I started the car in the driveway, and the a/c was already on and I hear this horrible clunking comeing from the condenser...

It's a shame really, my first car with a/c and I only got to enjoy it for a short time.

It still blows cold air, but eventually I'm sure it will just stop working all together.

Getting dangerously close to the 100's here in FL and I don't have A/C either...

You should get a replacement compressor soon and swap it in before your current knocking unit floods the rest of the air conditioning system with little flakes of compressor.

So swapping is it as easy as remove replace or do you need to recharge the system afterward. (I assume yes)

Cool.

Looking for one atm..

Funny too, of course, I didn't keep the one I had from my 92 turbo... It was sitting on the rear floor when the shell got towed away.

Sucks indeed, I could easily count on my fingers and toes how many parts I could've saved from the car...

Unfortunately time and space made me junk it... :(

my ac doesnt work either. I spent about 4.5 hours in my car yesterday in 90 degree heat on the freeway. I dont think my calves have ever sweat before besides if they're up against a couch or something
