I suffer from hypoglycemia, it's where your body can't handle sugar correctly. Well I ate a piece of b-day cake before heading to the garage. I had the trans up on the bench and I was sitting on my shop stool. I got up to take a pic of the valve body so I remember how to but it back together. I sat down...then next thing I knew I was on the floor and the trans was next to me!!! I guess I grabbed for it when I passed out. Great...now the trans lines are all bent and not sure what else is trashed. Well at least it didn't fall on me. Stupid body. :x

Wow, WRXDan, if you passed out because of eating that one piece of cake affecting your hypoglycemia, you'd better see a health care professional pretty soon. Even though hypoglycemia is low blood sugar and diabetes is high blood sugar, many of the symptoms are the same and the hypoglycemic body eventually becomes diabetic if not cared for. I used to be on the borderline of hypoglycemia so I'm somewhat familiar with it.

Regular medical doctors will give you medication (which, in my view, leads to other complications) and naturopathic doctors will put you on a diet along with herbs, minerals, supplements, etc and you will end up feeling a lot better and you'll be able to control your blood sugar.

If you want more specific info, I'd be happy to share information I have with you. But only if you want it; I don't want to push anything on anyone.

Damn, that's crazy. You're very lucky it didn't land on you or just your hand or something. The tranny can be fixed a lot easier then your bones, tendons and flesh.

I went to the doc a few years ago, he basically said to eat right and gave me a few emergency sugar tablets to eat.

While I recovered last night I thought that this could be diabetes. My body was like in shock...I was cold but sweating like I just ran 5 miles. I got a super headache and upset stomach after the dizziness was gone.

I have been bad this week. I normally eat right, this week has been small meals and lots of cake. I ate well today and feel better. I have low blood pressure to begin with so I faint easily.

Yes I'm open to other type of healing. PM me if you have time.

Yes it sucks!! I just gashed the top of my wrist. I'm just pissed about the tranny, those line were brand new. Plus...I worry that something inside is fubar and I don't want to pull it apart again. I going to replace the lines tonight.

man be very glad that didnt land on you. Even if you have to replace the whole tranny it's a hell of a lot cheaper than replacing an arm or worse

I had a friend who had whatever diabetes type it is that you're born with and he would get really weird if he didn't eat right. Sucks too because they wouldn't let him in the Marines like he always wanted (though I guess that's maybe not so bad).

I fainted once in my kitchen and woke up with my legs under me and light stuff from the counter on top of me. I was drunk, though.

Good thing you weren't hurt. I suffer from occasional strange dizzy spells the doctors can't figure out and I say the same thing after it happens - friggin' body! I have more tolerance for my car having problems and have 0 patience for body malfunctions. Good luck.

That is by far the scariest thing I have ever read on this board. If you aren't a praying man, may I suggest you become one and thank whatever deity you prefer for saving your life.

Not really trying to jump on the bandwagon here saying "GO SEE A DOCTOR!", but......

a friend who had diabetes (which you supposedly could get from your condition?) died at age 36 last year. She came home, set her groceries down and had passed out and died on the floor. Her neighbors found her three days later. All she needed to eat was a fucking candy bar.

So basically, maybe I would jump on the bandwagon and say SEE A DOCTOR!

Not preaching, but I have two kids and I dont want to die. I suspect the same for you!
