I feel like bitching a little. I've got a bad axle, leaky tire, stuck hood, intermittent seat belt motor, dying ps pump, uncharged AC, leaky valve cover gasket, broken gas cap cover, heavy gas odors and extensive body work to do. There's probably more too. Why and how the hell did I get myself into this???

if it's any consolation valve cover gaskets are easy to fix :)

Well It's okay to have a BEATER. They can be fun.

My NA wagon has a leaky tire too........
...and an un-charged AC, a noisy Throwout bearing, REALLY noisy main transmission shaft bearings , leaks about 1 to 2 quarts of oil a week depending on how much/hard I drive it... rusted rear wheel well, rusted front wheel wells, 90-91 yellow headlights and front end on my 92 body which makes everything not line up quite right, broken gas cap, buckeled front bumper, buckeled rear bumper, broken rear wiper washer squirter, clutch safety switch is slowly going bad, e-brake cable is stretched out, Just replace a broken control arm, and it smells like mildew on hot days. Plus I got different s#!tty tires on he front than the S#!tty tires I have on the back.....
....and A "Master Shake" (ATHF) sticker on the hood next to one of the big spots of peeling paint.

But ya know... the thing still runs great, and I can beat the crap out of it out on the dirt roads all I want.

Yeah, I've got to finish the turbo rebuild, adapt it to N/A, and transplant the engine by myself this weekend for a car I'm planning on spending thousands more to make faster and will be worth MAYBE a whole $5k when I'm done. What the hell is wrong with us?

I've got my front brakes going, my stock DV not handling it's shit, my suspension needing some lovin, some rust, and some tranny love that's needed.

Why do I keep doing it?

Look at my Sig for WRXDan's word's of wisdom.

Just driving the damn Subarus make it all worth while. I need to get back motivated to work on my XT6. Ever since we got the wifes legacy thats all I've worked on. I like working on them though.

Yeah, if these were Chryslers or the like I wouldn't bother fixing them just for how much of a PITA it is working on them. And Subaru's got personality and personality goes a long way.
