I've searched for forums on these old bikes, but have found none. A close friend died unexpectedly two nights ago. The funeral is Thursday and 320 miles away. My good friend who married her in January is totally distraught and needs some friends from home there. I just helped another friend move; I drove a rented truck to Myrtle Beach, S.C. with my motorbike in the back. In traffic leaving Myrtle Beach, the air-cooled engine overheated and died. It made it the 1200+ miles back - even at speeds near 100 - but is having problems with heat now. It is a 1969 Honda CL 350. Does anybody have any suggestions? I hate to ask this here, but my friend in Memphis needs support.
I'm sure someone is wondering why I don't drive the Legacy. I'm still working with the state office over the VIN and title to finally get a license plate. The car was a police impound.

Damn, I wish I could help you - that sucks. A friend of mine died last October.

Can you take off the head and check the deck and head surfaces for warpage?
