Does anyone know anything about ...

I've seen 2 new Foresters now with wheels that looked like Bullit Mustang wheels and I thought they were great - they had an old-school muscle car look, even resembling a deep-dish style, that I think will go with my (now old too) Legacies character (at least when the FI goes in). I went to the dealer thinking they were OEM and knowing that Foresters have like 50 wheel styles, most of which I like (while I don't like WRX wheels or older Legacies much), but the parts guy told me he'd never seen them and suggested NTB.

They are a 5-spoke with inset rounded spokes that taper at both ends and curl inwards a little towards the outer rim. I think they'd look great with the middle powder coated grey, but I don't know where they're from.

The other thing I like is the deep-dish appearance which is unusual nowadays and that the spokes aren't flush to the sides where they are very easily damaged like most 16" wheels I see.

Are they steel or alloy? That'll help my search a lot...

They're definitely alloy. If you look at some pictures of a 2003 or whatever Bullit edition Mustang you'll see basically the exact thing. They looked OEM to me (especially after seeing two cars ... or maybe I saw the same one twice ... damn I know one time it was a red one, but I can't remember the other sighting), but Subaru's saying no. These wheels should hold me over until I can afford a GT-350 clone.
