THEY FIT!!!!!

Did a test fit.

17" x 7.5" +48mm RAYS Gram Lights

Tires were: 225/45/17 Falken Azenis (which are pretty friggin wide)

Do they fit?

About 10mm strut clearance on the drivers rear. A LOT of clearance on the passenger side rear (is that normal?)

No rubbing. They fit the wheel wells PERFECTLY.

I LOVE how that looks!

Oh, I should add, when turning, they almost rub the fenders, that's why I say they fill the wells really well.

The guy whose house I was getting aligned at said he was half expecting me to stop right there and say they rubbed. I didn't hear a single noise from them, so I assume they were fine. A narrower 225 width tire would be GREAT. They stick out slightly from the fenders, so maybe a 49 or 50mm offset would be slightly better.

They look really nice.

What would happen when turning and going over a bump though?

The suspension would arc slightly, and the tire would tuck into the fender. Roll the lip, and they'll just barely clear I rekon.

Most of the problem was with the tire width. The Azenis is a WIDE tire, almost a 245 actual width. It's the widest 225 you can buy. A REAL 225 tire would fit MUCH better.

Is it me, or are those Azenis a touch on the bald side? :)

Jeez, those wheels look awesome.

The front left tire was on the rear of my buddies WRX. It was almost 1 full inch Toe'd IN for about 200 miles. He just didn't have the time to correctly align them. He said you could measure the tread wear with a stop watch. Good thing those are CHEAP tires (comparatively) :).

You should see the Left Rear of the Prada Spec 2 on his 05 Legacy GT. It was the front left on his WRX, which was corner weighted at 1000lbs (eek!). The tires were BRAND new when he went to the Dragon. It is completely bald less than 1000 miles later.

Apparently, those wheels are only appealing to Subaru guys. My mom and dad don't like them, and my girlfriend said, "They look hideous on your beautiful car."

Oh well, I like them. They are contenders for when new tires come around. I hope I can get my RE92's to last until I can afford the $1000 price of the Gram Lights and the $500 price of some Kuhmo MX's or Toyo Proxes 4.

yeah, whats up with that? :D

BUt yeah, I can't say I care much for the wheels. Spokes are too small for my liking, but hey, it's not my car.

They just look like 5 spokes of my Advan RG's.

I think they look pretty hot, but some larger (or less rusty!) brakes would really help the look.

Your car isn't lowered yet is it Phil?

Damn, those look hot! I love the way the stance looks, it just has a really aggressive look with the bigger wheels and WIDE tires. :D

No, Phils car isn't lowered but his rear end is lower stock then mine. We had our cars side by side and Phils was noticably lower in the rear.

I like the rims and think they'd look great on my even darker blue car, but I'm torn as the gold will definitely reduce the sleeper look. Aren't Azenis always bald?

If you get the lips rolled you can have them take care of the rust at the corners too. It shouldn't be too bad.

What do the rims weigh and do they come in silver 16"?

Gram Lights are LIGHT. The wheels and tires weighed slightly less than my WRX wheels and RE92's.

I am going in for an estimate on my rust, probably tomorrow. I'll have them roll the fenders at the same time.

I think the wheels would look great in a silver/gray kind of color.

They are only available in 17 and 18, but there are a lot of clones out there that would probably be available in a 16.

My next tires WILL be 225's. Nothing screams "don't fuck with me" like 8.85" of rubber at each corner of a turbo AWD car.

Are those Gram lights, or are they clones?

Is that car lowered? Why does the front end sit so well compared to my car?

Rotas baby, cheap :)

It is lowered yeah, the tires are 205/45/17 though.

Thats how legacy's (and most subarus for that matter) look stock.

How lowered?

I am looking at the rota's, i'll have to see. It's hard to justify $1000 on the Gram Lights.

BTW, what is the BC672?

BC672 = 2.2L N/A Sedan.

Kelley - Aegean Blue Metallic. Looks blue sometimes, green others, and in the right light, it looks kind of purple. It's sweet, like a precursor to WRB.

MK - What springs do you have? Whiteline? That's the exact stance I want.

BAC: they are GAB revolution II coilovers, a full setup. some of the other brands would probably get nearly the same results (whiteline, tein, etc..)
