Nomads

In the past I've been accused to being quite the nomadic person. Maybe it's because i've never stayed in the same house/apartment for more then 4 years, never at a school loger then 3 years. I've had jobs that are one year contract based, as well as indefinite legth jobs that turned out to have very low ceilings.

You guys may remember that just 4 months ago I worked for Griot's Garage. I posted (heavily) biased tips when it came to car care and what do to when the nastys hurt the paint. To Microsoft I went for better pay and more advanced work.

Somewhere along the way, I've managed to impress a group of people that operate a humble but fanatical company operating out of Bellingham, Washington. In a fwe weeks I pack and move ~100 miles north to work for H&R Special Springs.

What was that about biased information? ;)

I'll address a few questions I know i'd ask me if i were someone else:

No, I can't get you a discount. All product sales are done through vendors. If you'd like to purchase H&R products, but do not know where you nearest vendor is, please visit http://www.hrsprings.com/site/index.html.

Yes, I will still have my legacy. I'm going to do my best to see what from the company fits and works well on the car. I'll let you know how it goes.

Yes, I'll let you sleep at my apartment. If you're either:
A) uber-hot sexy chick who wants to clean and cook for me and care for me OR
B) calm, composed, polite and clean up after yourself and you don't stay too long (unless you feel like paying rent)

If I die, you can't have my car or my TV.

No Josh, there will be no beer-bonging of Guiness at the new place. I'm going to try and keep the floors clean this time.

Cheers!

Jason,

Good to hear from ya bud. Haven't seen ya post in a while.

Sounds like a pretty cool job!!! What type of facility is it you work at? testing, development, warehouse, sales, etc? Can I get a tour :)

I'd definitely consider myself nomadic.....however houston has been the longest place I've stayed put, even though I did move about a year ago. I give myself another two years....and I'll probably be switching jobs.

BTW.....your diff will be going into its new home this weekend, and the tranny & driveline will hope to follow next week some time :)

take care, and yeah....gotta keep the beer-bonging to a minimum when you're inside. Chicks tend to like floors that don't make that sticky noise when you walk across them ;)

The facility is a compact environment that hosts both the sales/tech department, management and the warehouse. I will be working in sales and tech as well as other projects as planned (fun stuff, I'll annouce as they come up).

Can you get a tour? Probably not, we'll see after I've been there for a while.

Hey, you're located about and hour from my new apartment. I was actually just thinking about how you were doing. congratulations on the microsoft deal, I was never sure what ended up happening to your leg after the engine bit the dust. Glad to hear she's still serving you.
