I'm pretty sure the DSM flanges are way different.

If it's off of a Subaru it'll work. Get one from the other side of the pond.

This is/was far from a quick and easy. This turbo could not be anymore difficult to put in. When we talked about doing this i was under the impression this was a DIRECT BOLT IN PART... meaning you pull one out, new one in, every things peachy..... FILE THAT UNDER NEVER. It has been a real nightmare on time. No real big problems but just enough little ones to cause one to become a raging alcoholic. Dispite all of Andys choice 4 letter swear words and panic, weve tackeled every problem thus far one at a time. Between my experience and skills and his knowledge of the engine itself, we seem to be able to figure things out pretty easily and w/o too many question marks. It has been quite a job though. I worked on it for a few hours last night and relocated all water inlet/outlet lines, all oil inlet/outlet lines, waistgate lines/fittings, and if that wasnt enough, i had to take a hack saw and cut hoses out of the project car to make the necessary extensions and such for the daily driver. Most of this of course was done in a parking lot after dark. Ive tackled everything but the intake pipe now so hopefully this morning i should be able to get this puppy up and running again and see what it can do. Any Q,C,or C's about this swap are welcome and i can try to help in any way possible for anyone who wants to do it to thier ride cuz it realy is somewhat troublesome to handel blindly. Updates and maybe video of finished project to come. Peace.

You might want to talk to these guys since they have actually done a swap.

sounds like one off a mitsushitty, a TD05 WILL be a direct bolt up if it is off a WRX, but if you are going down this path you can get a VF12 off a aussie spec RS the turbo itself flows stuff all less than a TD05, however the TD05 is easier to high flow/modify

This turbo came from a 1st gen WRX.... yea a subaru. So this little comment.....
If its a TDO5 off a early WRX it will fit no sweat
... throw it out the window. It ended up taking me about 15hrs to finally get it all completed. I would suggest that untill youve actully done the swap, dont make comments like that. Just to verify, THE TURBO DOES BOLT UP TO THE FLANGES ONLY. The compressor outlet is not facing at the same angle, the oil lines and water lines are not in the same places and all the hoses need to be extended and rerouted for this swap to work. Then and only then will you have the pleasure of creating a custom pipe to go from your turbo to topmount/TB. It is a great turbo to have though. Ive been nothing but impressed with it.

I dont know if this applies to this particular turbo but keep in mind that if what ever your putting in does not have a 90° elbo on the air inlet you are screwed. Also a wrx compressor out is at a different angle (say 3 oclock if looking from the front directly at the motor, the factory turbo outlet faces about 2 oclock). I had to make a totally custom steel elbo fitting for my vf34 just to get air to it (pics soon). I have not even tackled the outlet yet. Also oil and coolant lines are totally different.

Just some food for thought.
