ok on the sti m mounts use the stock plates or the sti ones?

on the sti motor mounts are we not suposta use the plate that comes with the mount and reuse the old ones? i did a search and come up with conflicting info.

I'm not sure I fully understand the first argument he has, because I would think that all bolts in one line would create a single axis around which the entire mount could rotate, but anyway...

He has an Impreza RS, but it should still be applicable to our cars...

I read his write up before, but in all honesty, bolt position is not the only thing you need to look at. You need to look at where and how the force is being applied to the bolts. if the force is applied in a certain way, and all the bolts are inline, you are actually creating a pivot point for the mount to rotate/twist upon. With the bolts offset you would have two pivot points, and IMO, would resist the rotating better.

But like I said, without knowing how everything is oriented and where the forces are being applied......you can say whatever sounds good.......
