I have a 91 legacy wagon and live in a ski town. I plan to use my legecy as a winter beater and rally cross/ stunt ride.

I plan to replace the struts and springs and would love to make my ride stiffer and possibly taller. Would outback springs and struts work? It seems that I will need to also get the top hats from the donor for the rear. If not an outback what springs should I be looking for. any hints you may have would be great.
thanks

hmm, maybe nobody knows, maybe you should just put some on there and see what happens.
nobody is into making their subies rugged around here. they all like to lower them and make them all "pimped out." you know, 20's and hydros and such, haha

these springs will make you ride 1.5" higher. reduced down travel could cause some control issues. axels will prolly wear out faster too.
I would prolly just get some kyb gr2's and a good set of snow tires. The gr2's made the front end of my 92 sedan ride an inch higher. I've always pondered a way to make the rear do the same, no solutions yet, maybe a spacer like the ones in that scorpion lift.

From what I read at
www.spdusa.com, it seems that the Subaru engineers used a few different suspension parts to accommodate the 1.5" lift for an Outback vs a standard Legacy. You might want to check it out.
