well I know it is not a legacy, but there are similarities. just thought you guys might be interested.
well the chasis side I went with the new sti coilovers and threw on my 02 wrx wagon carbon rear strut tower brace. I can get these coilovers for around $2400.
then the sti 6sd short shift kit. oh very nice!
for engine/power enhancing.
gpmoto header uppipe combo (if anybody wants one I can do $700 on these. for your legacy too)
stromung 3in. turboback (cats in the downpipe and int. pipe)
this has not been available until now. I will have 2.5 and 3 in turbo backs next week (legacy ones in about a week)
and lastly a utec ( i know, just until I get my plug and play harness for my ecu done.
I am very happy with everything. I still have a big smile on my face. the exhaust sound is nice. perfect sound level for a daily driver. noticeable power gains everywhere.
big thanks to stromung for getting this exhaust done so quickly and quality is top notch. and of course to richard. he is the best at this.

Awesome man! It's relevant, as we've got an STi owner on the boards. Plus, our cars are so similar in platforms, that what works for them is a cut and grind away from working for us.

Got any more info on the header/uppipe? Flow stats? $700 seems a bit steep when compared to other stuff out there. What makes them better?

this is an equal length stainless steel 1 pice header/uppipe that was modeled directly after the syms header/ uppipe that is over 1500 (and not easily obtained)
I have heard they are good for 18-25 but have not comfirmed it. it is a very nice piece and should bolt up nicely to a legacy. I don't know of anything that is comparable and cheaper. they seem like a good value to me. it sure seems to spool up faster. it does change the sound a bit. it gives it a smoother quiter exhaust note imho. very nice for daily driving. can't really hear it whith the window up.
