Only getting 3 psi

Hey,
I have an ej22T in my 95 legacy. I am running a TEC 3 ecu with a wideband ego. I have the car tuned to run 11.2 AFR under boost. When I tuned the car it hit 6 psi (wastegate spring). Before I left for college I drove the car a bit and was only getting 3 psi. I was thinking maybe the wastegate is stuck.
Any ideas on what I should check? Thanks
Dustin

Make sure the wastegate moves freely. If it doesn't, then you've got a problem.

Maybe you have something somewhere in the intake or exhaust that's causing excessive restriction?
Did you install an intercooler? Depending on how restrictive the intercooler and its piping is, it could be responsible for reducing 6 psi down to 3 psi.
Or did you do any intake tubing repairs? Glue can seep down into joints and cause restrictions inside the repaired item.

I dont understand why that is funny.
The car is back to stock now. How do I check to see if the wastegate moves okay?

Move the waste gate arm. If it opens and shuts freely, then things should be OK in that aspect.

There should be no movement in the wastegate arm/wastegate poppet, the spring in the bonnet of the Actuator should be holding the poppet fully shut when preloaded correctly - If there is the wastegate poppet is very likely to be slightly open therefore bypassing exhaust gasses away from turbine wheel.

the wastegate arm should move (with resistance though) it should move back about a 1/2 inch using your fingers to push.

Mark,
If you can move 7-8lbs of spring pressure with your fingers when the arm is pre-loaded the spring is either weakened or liable to be fooked.

Yeah, I definitely could not move my wastegate arm with just my fingers. Gripping it hard and pushing as hard as I could with my whole hand I could make it move though.

Any reason why you're running such low boost? Isn't stock 8.7 psi? Is it because of the AFR?

dont know bout you guys but I was running stock 8.7 psi and I could move the wastegate without too much effort. Tho i did have the chimney off so I could grip the rod with my fingers well.
Mark,
