225's are WIDE!
I just picked up a set of Nitto NT450's from a buddy of mine.
They are WIDE, and barely taller than stock (that's Nitto for you, under-sizing their tires like a mofo). They are right in the middle between WRX tires and stock.
But at any rate, they are WIDE.
I'll have pics of the tires up shortly.

Yes, I know Nitto's suck balls. BUT, they were nearly free, and I need a set of tires to hold me over on the new wheels until I can decide on which REAL tire I want to run.
NT = No Traction.
They SHOULD be better than my RE92's though. Anything should be better than THOSE!
I'm thining about BFG G-Force KDW's. Those seem to get pretty good reviews.

Right on, how much did you pick 'em up for?

80 bucks for all 4. Can't go wrong.

Holy Cow, Phil. . . . that's a great price for some interim tires!
Hmmm. . . those are my stock size, too! What the hell was I thinking when I spent so much on my Potenzas?!?!?

Bring them by Pep Boys in Salem MA and I'll throw 'em on some rims for free!
Maybe it's good you're too far for that as I hate mounting and dismounting low profiles.
Can't wait to see how they look, though.

Hehe, thanks for the offer Steve. I think gas alone to Salem would cost more than the mounting.
I'm gonna go to a local shop, hopefully it won't be more than like 10 a rim w/ balancing. I want the stick on weights because I don't want to mess up my pretty new wheels.
Pics will be plentiful when I pick up the wheels at the Shootout.
Scott- You thought you liked the stance of my car before? Just wait

If the rim doesn't have a lip they'll have to use stick-ons anyway, but I'm sure you could request them.

Hmm... They have a lip, but not one that you could put a weight on....
I'll just request some stick on's. I also need valve stems.
Oh, and if anyone is interested, they are getting mounted on a set of these...

Mmmmm, looks good. I want some nice 17's too.
That's super cool Phil, I can't wait to see 'em in person.

You want some GOOD tires....get a set of goodyear gs d3's. Truly been amazed at their grip and traction in the wet and dry.
The S-03 is comparable. Some will differ on which is better. I think the GS D3's will last a little longer and cost less.

The D3's are $168 a tire. A bit out of my price range.
I'm looking at the Kuhmo MX's, Toyo Proxes 4's, and the Toyo T1S. If i get the MX's or the T1S, then I'll probably get a set of snow tires for the OEM WRX wheels I have.

I think I'm pretty settled on the Toyo T1S, depending on their usable life. I can probably swing $130 a tire if I don't have to pay shipping. Plus, the T1S looks really badass.
