Yeah, so I was a retard this afternoon and closed my fingertip in my clamping belt buckle. As you can see, the blood was doing a nice job of pooling under the skin.
Soooo. . . on with cleaning a convenient cutting utinsil. . . in this case, a Wustof pearing knife. Nearly as sharp as your average scapel.
Interesting, though. . . the blood pooled far deeper under the skin than I thought. This was afer several attempts to puncture the area. . .
Not to be outdone by my own stupidity, I finally prevailed with a nice little slice.
What had been throbbing for a few hours is feeling much better, now. Even ice wasn't helping enough. Oh well. . . it'll heal up nicely, now.

I've done this mod to my fingers a couple times.
The pictures really help make it easier for people new to the procedure.

I guess when your adventures consist of stabbing blood blisters you have to call people to come over.

I got it all the time as a kid, but this time was one of the worst! I think I got it from that dead tree that I moved with poison ivy growing all over it DUH.... I must have rubbed around in it real good to get it that bad! I had it on both arms and both hands... A few clusters like the ones in the pics.
The part on my hands made it a little hard to steer and shift my car, so I took it easy...

Wow, that's pretty crazy looking. That must have hurt like hell.
I had really bad poison sumac once on my right thigh when I was about 11. It was one of the worst things I've ever gone through. My thigh was about a 1/3 bigger then normal with raised, hard soars all over. It looked kinda like bumpy pepperoni. It was extremely painful. It was solid too. The whole thigh was covered, no patches. Took almopst a whole month to heal too.

The pain wasn't too bad actually. Once I popped the high pressure ones, they felt a lot better. Aside from the intense itching, what probably hurt the most was when I accidentally hit a big cluster of them on my bed frame while I was rolling over in bed. Had to make sure that part didn't get infected.
Good times!
