Quick Motor Swap Question

So, if you pull a motor out of an automatic, can you just bolt on the flywheel and clutch setup from a 5mt, or do you have to switch something else as well?

Just bolt them on.

That's what I did. My EJ20G came from an auto, and I used the flywheel and clutch from my 5 spd car on the new engine...

oh,
but you need different bolts for the 5 spd than are used on the auto to hold the plate to the crank...

Just swap over the 5-speed stuff. And Matt's right about the bolts - they're longer on the 5 speed so you'll have o use them or get new bolts for it. My present engine was from an auto.
