Vikash is a god.

That's right.

In the past 6 months, I've been having idling issues. My car simply wouldn't do it (not to put to fine a point on it, lol). Having replaced everything IAC valve related. 2 new IAC valves, a new throttle body, a new ECU, and months of the painful glare of a check engine light.

Monday, I received an E-mail from Vikash asking for my mailing address. I've given it to him before, he's been to my house, so without hesitation I forked the info over.

4 days later, I got a package. He wouldn't tell me what it was and I was forced to restlessly sit and wait until I got home.

I get home, rip the package to shreds, to reveal a wire and stuff.

It was a plug-and-play re-wiring for my IAC valve.

10 minutes later, and my car is ALL fixed :). No more CEL, no more insanely high idle. Perfect.

Thanks Vikash, you and Matt have helped me more with this car than anybody has helped me with any of my hobbies. I wouldn't be where I am today, and I wouldn't be in posession of the car that I have right now without your guys' help.

I truely appreciate it man, Thank you.

I wonder if the shipper got scared with Vikash sending out a package of wires! :)

J/K I concur that he is a god.

Hehe, he did the same thing to me except that instead of sending me something to fix an IAC problem he sent me a plug-n-play fix for my O2 sensor! It worked too, my O2 sensor is working for the first time in almost a year! Vikash is the man and a god for sure. :D Thanks again Vikash.

That's sweet that it fixed you up Phil and that's super cool of you to do Vikash. I can't wait to see you guys next weekend, pray for sunshine! :D

Man, it's gonna be an EVENTFUL weekend for us all.

Matt - You said you've got the whole day off, and I don't have classes that day, so if Vikash can, the three of us should have an early meet or something. Get an early start on the bitchinest weekend ever!

What exactly did this harness do, plug into, bypass, etc?

I think everyone who has experienced the greatness that is vikash will agree that he is the man. I've pondered buying a plane ticket out there soley to buy him the meal/drink of his choice.

All in all, Vikash is the shit. _period_ if anyone disagrees, i will kill you. :)

:( Steve. I'll give you my Beaver Bucks, lol.

I'd offer to help fund your journey, but I'm gonna be cutting it close on funds for this trip. I'm going to the shootout instead of going to the Dragon on October 17th (unless I get some sweet birthday money to pay for gas, brake pads, and stuff like that. It would cost right around $250 in gas alone for the trip).

Josh - The harness goes from the ECU directly to the IAC valve and taps the coil pack for power. Totally plug-and-play. I think it took me under 5 minutes to install, and the car started right up and idles like a champ!

GOOOO VIKASH!

It's cool. I already owe too many people on this board anyway. Just life, I guess. This shit won't go on forever and I'm sure I'll get out there again.

I think the fact that he has 4748 posts and isn't usually shooting the poop or asking for help is evidence enough. Another vikash worshipper.

So it was a harness to just replace the stock one?

Nah, the stock one runs the wires from the ECU to the 12-pin connector behind the battery. This bypassed ALL of the stock wiring and ran wires straight from the ECU to the IAC.

Yeah that's what I mean.......a wiring harness to bypass/replace the stock one.

So with this harness and the fact your IAC works better now means there is a problem with the stock harness.

Correct, or so it would seem. There are still a few oddities that I can't quite figure out.

I'm going to be checking out the connectors behind the battery and see what might be the problem. It might just be a matter of a bad connection there.
