99 Impreza L springs...

OK, I can get a set of these for free (spring, strut, tophats).

I'm really only interested in the springs and top hats.

Will both of these items fit my car? Since they are free, they will probably be a good replacement for my tired, 10 year old springs (that sag worse than Rosie O'Donnels ass).

The question is... Will they lower the car any? I'd PREFER that they don't, as I've gotta clear 225's, but if they lower it a bit, that'd be fine I guess.

My struts are OK, and in fairly good condition (when I bought the car, they said they were JUST replaced).

I figure I'll just swap springs and top hats all around. Good idea?

I've got 2.5rs junk on it, it kept my saggy ass at the same height. The rs is lowered, i think.

I'd think the stock rear Impreza springs would be a lot softer/weaker than our stock rear springs, since they're meant to carry much less weight.

That'd make it ride lower and mushier, right?

Hmm, I suppose that's probably true. I don't know much about Impreza's so I don't really know.

Not worth it?

If they're free I'd say go for the top hats..

Not as old as yours, even though your car has reatively low miles they may not be worth the install time.

You'd be best off saving up and going STi in the 4 corners.

Personally if I knew my rear end was weak and I got the 99 TS set from here in .CA I'd go for it, Struts springs and tops
