I know the guy. It's a 95 Impreza, right? Pretty sure the guy helping me do my turbo swap helped to the engine swap.
PM me with info, and I'll talk to my buddy. If it's the car I'm thinking of, then it's REALLY easy for me to check it for you. If it's not the same car, it's still really easy.
I was actually considering picking it up, but decided against it since i got my car running correctly.

edit: the read recipt was recived by him at nabisco but he still hasent gotten back to me. his name is james. and he says he has a problem with the turbo and thats what im woried about the most. im just wondering if its a stock leg turbo or a td04 cuz he has a rex intercooler in it too

I'm 99% sure that's the one I'm thinking of.
I was considering it, since he only wants, what, like $2k for it? Alas, I don't have the money. Not to mention that it wouldn't pass inspection in MD (as there is a law that the replacment engine must not be older than the chassis of the car.)
Such is life. I'll check it out for you, just get me all the info. I'll have my buddy come with me, and the two of us can see what's up. I'll take some pics too (since I'll have my camera for the 16G install).

I should be able to check it out on Thursday, I'll ask my buddy when he gets back from work.
What, exactly, do you want me to look at?

Buy it. It's clean, well done. Worth it.
Bring the turbo inlet elbow from your turbo and swap it out, the one on the car is ghetto fabbed, and that's what the problem was.
It's totally worth it. Buy it!
I took a few pics, but I'm having problems uploading them now.

is that the only thing wrong or does it need more than that. oh and did you happen to grab the vin?

That seemed to be the only thing wrong. That's the only thing that I could see anyway. Brent said that was what was wrong. The guy was at work, so we just checked it out by looking at it. Seemed legit. I didn't have a pen, I got a pic, but it's blury. I can get the VIN from Brent, but it won't be until Sunday night.
