Happend on the road trip with Hardy, Scott & Ryan yesterday. Highway 128 is a great drive, but the turns are alittle too sharp and i was going way too fast. Too much understeer and no ABS made me slide right into the guard rail. Rear end damage is hard to see, but is apparent, front end is mangled.

Perfect opportunity for me to find a LS/LSi Wagon for a EJ22T swap :))

I think if he'd clean out all the mud from under his car he'd get his abs back :)

That accident looked bad. I came around the corner right behind him and saw him turn his wheels for the next turn....only his car didn't turn. Then the blue smoke and he just barrled right straight into the guard rail. Sux. At least the guard rail held and he didn't go over. The thing that gets me is you didn't seem to be going THAT fast brian. It was a bit shaper of a turn, but .....I dunno. On the upside, I was amazed at how "little" the car was damaged. I think a new fender and light and you'll be doing all right. No hood damage at all. Seriously, it could have been a LOT worse.

I'm with ryan on that one; that could have been a lot worse. It was a deceptively tight turn. Also tough because you were the only one with non- high perf tires and original susp; won't handle quite as well, but where is the limit?

As far as body damage goes, new fender, new bumper, new corner light, new headlight. The rear just needs a little gentle lovin' with a hammer and some paint. I'll help ya if you want to go this route. I am amazed how little damage was done. I thought "oooh poor turn signal and fender...Oh no! not the rear fender!" I've been there.

I really like the lsi wagon idea. The turbo had some nitpicky PITA work to get it nicened, now it has more. A swap into a damaged creampuff (and those are everywhere) will save you some headache in the long run, and 5mt turbo wagons are, of course, the sweetest thing under the sun.

Not only the sweetest thing, but you'll never find another Turbo 5spd Wagon unless somebody swapped their tranny's. The damage is very minimal and could have been ALOT worse, but im thankful it wasnt. The car still drives exactly the same, maybe alittle better cause im sure the accident jarred loose a bunch of dirt, and now my tires dont wobble anymore :)

It would be a waste of my time to do any more work to this car. Im just going to cut my loss's. I could find a shell for less than $1000 (setting my goal at $800) and have a MUCH better looking car, and 1/2 the effort. Besides, the body isnt the only thing wrong with the car.

I'm going to remember that turn, and i will be back to take it. That stretch of road was beautiful :)

Hahahaha

He has abs, the light is just on all the time and is more than likely due to an error code. Like too much mud caked around the unit for it to be able to work right. :)

THats okay Nico... ive heard about you and your car... you dont need to bother.

The ABS has never worked. It will work for about 2min, until I try to stop at high speed. Then it flakes out. I cleaned out the sensors when I replaced the front rotors. But didnt mess with the rear. Ryan is right, there's probably too much mud for it to work.

Looks like you nailed the shit out of that guard rail. I slid into one onetime but didnt do near that much damage, just the corner light was gone. Sux dude

I was in a car when we hit the guardrail. The damage wasn't that bad. It was more of a problem when we were sideways at 60mph and a peice of rebar went through the tire. THAT was the problem more than anything. The guardrail was the least of the worries at that time.
