today i took a nap and with a level head when i woke up decided to take measurements to decide exactly how much of my bumper i would need to cut. when i figured it wouldnt be too much i did it. its finaly in there now with little problem for the front bumper. the gap between the fender and the bumper has widened at the bottom because it still pushes on the bumper (it could stand to be cut a little more but that would effect the exterior look fairly dramaticaly) but thats ok. the front was always messed up anyways. the bumper is really hard to put on now but thats the price i pay. i may try to take a little more off to prevent the fins from being dammaged by the bumper being pushed in. and i may just try to reattach the nuts that i keep off for convience to tighten the gap betweent the fender and bumper as afore mentioned.

its just a little larger now and the space is even instead of being a v shape where the bottom part meets the fender but the top doesnt. now is more of a ll where its seperated equaly.

Oh, and why don't you just knotch the bumper beam a little bit?

because i would have to remount the bolts and it would take forever to noch a bumper beam with a dremmel too. and yes i have a sazal but i dont want to use in on my car.

its also bad when the bumper beam isnt bolted down, i took the styrafoam out because it was being diffcult and then to weaken the structure itself. nah. it fits as well as it ever with all of the things working against it and it looks pretty tight if you ask me. just dont look at anythin else.

hopefully i can get a compression test done this weekend to detirmine if there is a reasonable explainton for a 17.3 but if it comes back good than the car gets a vf39 with a pnp and some pipes (intercooler dp and custom exhaust). and eventualy a standalone form kelly.

the oil breather lines that were leaking were only partialy the problem of the burning oil on the uppipe and now i suspect the turbo bueause looking at it everything that come from or is in front of it has oil caked on it and now there is burnt coolant along with the smell of burnt oil

i still cant belive im planing on spending over another 2k on this car when i coulda boght a 95 imprezza L and put a ver 7 in it with the money ive spent on this thing.

oh well, thats the way the cookie crumbles i guess
