Is there no such thing as customer service anymore?

( I am going to rant for a moment, so have a minute to spare)

OK, I got around to putting some of the performace stuff on the car after it sitting around in the garage. Unlike most people, I don't have a 9-5 Job. I work various hours, on call, and I am far away from home. So I normally save up for projects and do multiple stuff at once.
So I order H&R springs for the car, AGX's and STI top mounts. Hell, I figure that its best to do it all at once. So I finally get a few days off to do the work. I get out the boxes and look at the struts. Right parts. I get the top mounts. Right parts. I get the springs. DAMN BOX SAYS WRX! OK, frustration sets in because I know they won't fit, and it's saturday ( can't call the shop where I got them).

On Monday I call the shop and inform them that legacy does not equal WRX. They say Ok, we will drop ship the parts to you asap.

I call on Wednesday and ask WTF is up? Then I am told should be there in a few days. Well, I now have to drop the car off at my mechanic's because I have to go back to work. So Now I am out funds. Its Friday, and I called to inquire if the parts came in yet. NOPE.

Why do businesses not care anymore about customer satisfaction? When they mess up, it should be fixed ASAP. IF I ordered the wrong parts or told them the wrong thing, then I would expect normal delays.

My fault= no hurry
Shop mess up( should equal) sorry and we will get it to you within three days.

So, when I get back into town in a few weeks, I owe my mechanic some pizza, beer and whatever the job cost to do. Which is what I am out because someone thought WRX = Legacy.

Support education in the schools. bekuz peeple shood knot hav problms reeding WRX and Legacy on bockes!

Funny. My dad is a vetran of the CPD (Cleveland, OH.). Anyway, I asked him about this subject, roundabouts oneday.
Basically, I asked him if cops are taught to ID cars ans such.
He said, "back in the old days, yeah. You actually had to take test and stuff -make, model, ID -e.g. locate tag registration, county code, etc).
However, nowadays, nope. The tests most patrol officers take revolve around procedure, city ordinence protocol, and knowledge of the accepted text books. Essentially, they're given very little, if any, "in car" training.
In the old days, you did lots of ride alongs, lots of hands on stuff with the veteran beat cops, you know, shitty grunt work directly related to basic patrol work. Not so nowadays.
I wonder if this why you see so many of these paramilitary wannabe asswipes who just wanna beat the piss out of the suspects and look like John Wayne, rather than take a serious, sober and long eyed approach to law enforcement?
Anyway, not all cops are dickweeds. There are a lot of really cool, laid-back vets out there who really do care about you and me.
Hey, look at me. My dad was one of 'em. I came out okay. Mostly...

OK, I have seen something lately that disturbs me.

Often if you buy something online, they do not have the part in stock. They buy the part from somewhere else and have it "drop shipped" to you. This way there is no inventory.

Well, that is what happened to me. The idiot had them ship the wrong part. This was last monday. Well, they said the right one would be to me within the week. A week later I HAVE TO CALL AND FIND OUT WTF!!

Seems the parts for the Legacy are backordered.

Since the car is half torn apart, this only makes me more pissed.
Why do people sell parts they don't have? Or at least be honest and tell me you don't have it in stock.

I would be more pissed if this was my only car. Lucky for them I have a truck too.

Next time I order something, I will ask if they have it on hand before giving them anything!!!!
