Ran SC only tonight at PIR, worked but clutch let me down.

At least with my set up. I finally went out to the track and ran SC only, WITH a rrfpr and my best was 16.3--. I averaged about 16.5 out of about 5 runs. I did have two 18.75 runs but this was due to one horrendous misshift and one clutch eating launch were I just had to stop shifting and coast down the line.
So for those of you out of the loop, I am running a Eaton m62 SC on a 1990 NA 2.2 legacy wagon. Stock 1/4 mile ets were averaging a best of 16.8. This, and this is an important point, was when I was getting 2.009 or better 60' launches on the new stock clutch.
When running 4-5 psi of boost AND nitrous, everything was dreamlike, with consistant 14.8 to 15.0 et's. Respectfully fast.
But then I trashed piston #4 when running 8-10 psi and 60 shot of nitrous.
So I rebuilt the motor and took it out tonight. The setup is running great for the most part. I may have some fueling issues but am not running lean, just not optimal. As far as I can tell, no knock (and I know the knock). I went out intending to run supercharger and nitrous but the nitrous setup is messed up due to a faulty or screwed up on my part nozzle, so I did not run nitrous but once, and it seemed to cause me to slow down, so I turned it off.
So now I was forced to run SC only all night long. And it didnt seem to be that powerful. Kind of depressing. However, by reading the timeslips, and of course knowing how the launches went, I am pretty sure the ets sucked so bad because of the poor launches due to clutch failure. Basically if I tried to lauched like I should launch, the clutch slipped. If I launched so the clutch didnt slip, I pulled 2.3 -2.4 0-60' times. So if you pull that .3 difference off my times, big difference in the final ets.
But still slow comparitively. I MUST get some timing control, the walbro fuel pump and up the boost. Upping the boost is going to be touchy and hard though since the only way to do this is by changing pulleys and they are exspensive to make. The only big pulley I have puts out almost 12 psi, which is way too much. I think I will turn it down for 8 psi and tune the engine for that. Getting a high 15 will leave me happy.
