Holy Crap!

As of today, I've lost almost 15 pounds from drinking water and diet alterations, alone.

It's a very good thing I'm starting back at the gym this week. I need to keep some of this momentum and start replacing the remaining fat with muscle.

That's sweet Art! :)

I need to go on a crash diet myself. I've been getting chest pains and arm pain too. That and every joint in my body hurts all the time. :(

So what time period is that, that you lost 15 lbs in? Make sure you're not losing TOO much...

I keep saying I'm going to stay in the gym, but I always start finding excuses to quit. I am seriously going to try to go back next year, and not just lift weights but do some cardio and shit like that too...

Been about three weeks or so. . .

. . . figure it's healthy, but definitely time to get in the gym, increase my metabolism, then increase caloric intake to match. . .

. . . but with the right foods and eating habits. ;)

Matt - What kind of chest pains and arm pains? Has Jen made you go to a doctor yet?

I'm still drinking tea. I'm on my 6th gallon in the past 8 days. That's a lot of sugar, so I need to start backing off of it. I'm gonna try to start drinking 2 gallons of water to 1 gallon of tea.

Congrats Art. I really need to get back to the Gym. I have been sticking to pushups, crunches, and curls. I try not to do crunches and situps, as they are bad for your back, but I still do them every so often to try and stay in shape. I could use more muscle mass in my arms. This became apparent when installing my exhaust and trying to suspend a downpipe for 30 minutes non-stop as we wrestled to get the bolts in place.

I don't need to gain strength or lose a whole bunch of fat, necessarily. But I have almost no energy at all. I do absolutely nothing all day, just screw around all day in the house and sit on my ass for 8 hours at work, and still I'm dog-tired at the end of the day. It doesn't help that I eat like crap either.

I lost over 35 lbs from permanent diet alterations.

No sweets - Cut the sugar - eliminate as much as possible
Lower carbs - nothing extreme, just eliminate as much bread and pasta as you can
No snacks and smaller meals - don't gorge yourself everytime you eat.

That's what I did, take it for what it's worth. It's been over six months. once you lose 15 or 20 lbs it becomes a lot harder to lose 10 or 20 more. You have to exercise to be healthy but lighter is a good start.

Got OCD? Sounds like me and my spree addiction.

Everyone should get your cholesterol checked, that and everyone should excersise, and stay away from any partially hydrogenated stuff and saturated fat.

Excersie+water+better diet= more energy, less fat, and more chicks! well, ill say that last part when I have a 6 pack instead of a 2 pack, im gettin there though.

6 pack should be nice, but just a 4 1/2 pack will fair better with the ladies than a 2 pack.

Get your ass in the gym now! If you don't have access, work out around the house. I have been going to the gym fairly steadily for about 3 years now with the occasional gaps, and it has definitely enhanced my self esteem (not that I had any prior problems with it) as well as enhancing my metabolism, appearance, and energy. I rarely get sick, and if I do, its not that bad and its gone in no time. It also seems to take away from all my stress.

I try to go every other day to give my muscles a day to rest. Some weeks school gets in the way, and I might not go for a few days, but I always seem to work up the motivation go to back and start my routine again.

Its tough to stay motivated, but u gotta work at it. Just remind yourself why you are going there, and how much better you feel while you are there and after you leave. It may take a while to see and feel the results, but keep working at it and you'll get there.

Welp... I gotta go to the gym now...

I either walk and hour or run three miles. I alternate every day. I stay away from processed foods, mostly because they make me feel like shit. With my heavy drinking schedule I can't afford any more toxins, either.

...I lost about 45.
