I just need to know that they will bolt on to my 94 shocks if i use the 97 top hats. i'm getting the front strut/spring assembly from a local salvage yard, and i'm putting the springs on my new 94 L GR2s.
weight works out to be damn near the same, so the rates should be good.

so, in other words, yes... the 2nd gen works fine.
yes because i am getting the entire strut/spring assembly, so i can use the 2nd gen tophats
thanks. it confirmed my suspicion

so, i installed the springs last night.
my top hats, mounts, shocks, etc are all IDENTICAL to the 97's. only difference is in springs. my car is sitting a good .5-.75" higher in the front than it should be. but, that's OK. theres 9" chassis clearance in the front and rear now

1997 springs in the front (from wagon, auto, AWD, abs), 1994 wagon springs in the rear all on new KYB GR2s
the car seems to handle pretty well, and doesn't feel un-balanced at all. then again, i didn't have anything to compare to before
