window alignment problem

my driver door window hits the black trim above where it should seat with the seal. its really annoying. I dont think the door itself is misaligned, as the panel gaps are good all around. is there some way the window could have become misaligned in the track? Ive never had the door apart so I wouldnt know what to look for. anyone experienced this problem or know a fix?
