OK, now you can see the mug, K&N short intake, intercooler spray and the intercooler spray tank just below the battery. ( Humorously, the FSTB keeps the spray from being too much.

The intercooler looks hot. What strut brace is that?

The intake definately affects the hp/torque numbers. I found this out on the other cars I have tried it on. I lose some of the lower torque, but it breathes better on the higher rpms. it takes a moment more up to 3000, but from 4000 on it pulls more.
So that is kind of a trade off. I might keep it this way, or I might go back, not sure yet.
The FSTB is a ebay special meant for a Impreza.

ahhh, now i get it. this is the fist pic of the coffee mug mod. that looks really cool. if i hadnt been told it was a mug i would never know and would be out asking everyone where the got that cool intake to turbo pipe.
did that FSTB make a difference? did it fit ok or did you have to do some "modification" to the bar or the hood bracing?
what is the source of the blue hose from the turbo to the IC?

FSTB? i assume the TB stands for throttle body.. but umm?? dscooby_doo, can you explain this all? looks good, and yes, if you mod the intake, low end sucks, but you'll kick anyone's ass in the top end --I always did with my 91 5MT.

The blue hoses are silicone couplers that I picked up for the intercooler install. They work great!
I went to a diesel truck parts house and found the three of them for cheap.

I guess the FSTB was designed for a GC Impreza and not a GD?
The rear bars for the GC work for us too, right? Might have to order a set...

I have the cusco rear strut tower bar on the GC, and it looks like it will ft the BC. If it was not such a pain to pull off, I would test fit, but I don't think it won't fit, so I am buying one come spring.
IF it is a hair off, all you need is a grinder and a welder and a dremel.
