Just wondering if this is a bit better then OEM (wrx) or the same.
Also, is $80 shipped for a OEM WRX clutch and flywheel w/9k easy miles a good deal?
TIA

From my understanding, exedy makes the OEM subaru stuff, so that's going to probably be like stock, or slightly better
Yeah I'd say 80 bucks is pretty damn good deal, assuming everything is in good shape. Is the pressure plate included too?

It will fit, along with the wrx pressure plate, but you must replace the flywheel w/ a wrx one as well.
I've got a wrx flywheel, clutch, & pp on my legacy.
Note, the wrx clutch, pp, & flywheel will only work on the turbo legacy trannies.

Sorry for the dumb questions, but what is the advantage of replacing with WRX flywheel & pressure plate, and is there anything else needed to do the conversion?

It allows us to upgrade to aftermarket clutches for the WRX, which are much more abundent then ones for the SS. It's also slightly larger.

I'm running the Exedy Stage 1 for a WRX with a Exedy Lightweight flywheel for the WRX. Works just fine
My Exedy setup has been holding onto my power for quite some time.
Matt - That clutch is OEM, probably no better than OEM. I have seen a few Stage 1 clutches go on e-bay (unused) for pretty cheap, around 200 bucks.
If I worked at Subaru I could get you a good deal on the SPT STi upgrade clutch. It's a 3-puck though. 3-puck = teh suck for street driving and I've heard complaints of life. Someone burned an ACT 3-puck in 10,000 miles.
