I need to do this, but not sure if it'll be getting done in a shop or my garage.

You can do it in your garage. Took me about 2 hours I think, because I was slow. There's just enough space on both sides to pull them off, provided you remove the intake piping, and move the coolant overflow bottle and washer bottle.

Also, make sure you pull the breather hoses off before you loosen the bolts holding the covers on. I made that mistake, and the lack of leverage can get frustrating.

Edit: Here are the pictures I took. Dunno how useful they are, but FWIW.... http://www.chreptak.com/valvecovers/index.html

Got a garage? Mine is tiny (one car) and currently has a jet ski in it. I really need to move that thing to storage.

Could this solve oil on the valve covers? Replacing the cover gaskets that is.

yes, and replacing the seals on the 3 bolts that hold them on. Oftentimes the oil on the valve covers is coming out of those bolts.

Cool. Maybe I'll do these soon then. Then I just gotta fix my tranny leak and get a new turbo and downpipe then I'll be good along with tires and breaks.
