okay, i've decided to change out my struts/springs with wrx stuff..... so far i've compiled 4 wrx struts and springs. and i think i can use my stock front strut tops? i dont have any GC style rear strut tops so could i use some strut tops from a 1995-96 Legacy? is it only the taperd strut tops and 02 up strut tops that wont work? would it all work together with stock WRX Struts+Springs?

You can use the WRX front strut tops or yours.

You cannot use WRX rears OR 1995+ Legacy rears

You have to use 90-94 Rears OR 93-01 Impreza rears.

whats different about the 95+ legacy rears?

so.... all the front stuff will swap right over, tophats and all? but the rears need 92-94 tophats or 93-01 Impreza tophats? and the 95 and up stuff wont work becuase the bolts are spaced differently? correct? anyone got any rear non-taperd strut tops they want to sell me cheap? thanks,

aren't 90-91 rear strut tops tapered?

I don't know if they are the same but I fitted Impreza/STI rear struts to my 90 Legacy by filing out the top bolt holes by 1/4" outwards(I can now use tapered or non-tapered).Front went on without problems.

The strut tops aren't tapered, the springs are tapered.
The strut tops are the same from 90-94
The spring perches are different from 90-91 to 92-94 to accomadate tapered and non-tapered springs respectively.
