Hey, I got a couple of lugnuts that are crossthreaded and need to replace the lug studs. I just need to know if I this would be a relativel easy job or should I pay $40+ to a shop to do it. I know for sre there are two on the drivers front, and maybe two on the drivers rear. Thanks

given the time of year it is i would pay the 40 to have someone else deal w/it. in the winter i almost never work on my car.

Thanks for the link, I decided to just do it myself. I don't know why you would pay someone to do that. It was easy, just time consuming. Thanks

Be forewarned however, you really can damage your wheel bearing hammering the stud out, as vrg3 said in that thread. That's why my left front wheel bearing is so loud it's hurting my ears...

Fronts are easier than rears too.
