i was wondering if anyone has used the Energy Suspension Master Bushing Kit for the Impreza and Forester from boxer4racing.com in a 94 legacy wagon L? i'm trying to find a set of poly boshings that aren't 20 bucks a bushing.

Here is the straight poop:

There are four sway bar link bushings. You can use these for the rear C style links if you have them. They are a bitch to get in to say the least.

There are no bushings for the front sway bar links, although the four bushings would work for one end of the front links if you choose.

There are two sets of sway bar mount bushings both 20mm. The smaller set will work for the front bar just fine. The other set won't work. The front bar mounts shut up the horrendous banging noise under my car.

For the front A-arm, the front set of bushings fits by slicing off about 1/4", and install easily.

The rear set works fine once you crank down on them and they install easily.

The rear lateral link bushing definitely fit but I haven't installed them as I got nearly new links from an Impreza with good bushings.

The trailing link bushings fit but I haven't put them in yet. Word on the street is that the one that goes into the hub (the rear mount) is an absolute biotch to get in and may require a cone-shaped tool to get the bushing flange started.

The shifter bushing fits the WRX but is useless for the Legacy.

I paid $120 and will probably recover some of that by selling the big 20mm sway mounts, shifter bushing, and the lateral link bushings on NASIOC. So I figure $90 net. Just the A-arm bushings OEM are way more than that.

If you have a rear sway bar I would suggest ordering a set of the correct mounts along with the kit. Energy does make an 18mm version that fits.

I should have mentioned that I paid $120 from www.suspensions.com which is less than the other site.

They did initially send me a set of bushings for a mid-70's Ford F-150 truck but we got it straightened out

Actually, the GD shifter bushing DOES work for the BC.

I'm running one right now. But the shift linkage might be different for the Turbo and N/A Legacy. I KNOW it works for my car, and I LOVE how it feels.

It "clicks" into gear much like a 350Z does. It's nice.

I'm a bit confused. Professor you mention that there are rear lateral link bushings included in the engery suspension master bushing set. However, I checked the energy suspension website for the set (part # 19.18101) and it does not include the lateral link bushings. I called energy suspensions hotline and they confirmed that the lateral link bushings are not included in the set.

So can you explain this apparant discrepancy?
