I hate wheel gap, so there is none.

it looks ok, replacing your 2 front fenders and passenger side front door would make it look good, and new wheels/ repaint front bumper would make it look cool. just my 2c

Thanks, yeah I don't know if I'm gonna fix this car up or just drive it until I can afford a turbo, it was basically free so I don't really care. Here's a chop with STi wheels.

haha, yeah i see where your coming from. looks better with those wheels but those dents just suck  how did you lower it?

Yeah, how did you lower it?

That's a pretty cool lookin' wagon. I keep telling my buddies to buy a wagon.. they think they're ugly, but I'll have to show them this pic.. might change their mind.
Is that flat black-ed, too?

Nice job.

Thanks! Its lowered on cheap eBay coilovers (just springs not one piece) for an Impreza, I think they cost something like 50$ shipped. It took a little massaging to make them fit, and it took me an afternoon to do it. It's flat blacked (poorly) because the car was blue and the hood/front bumper were white. I used to be somewhat anti-wagon too until I got this, now I think wagons are sweet.

holy shit. a dumped rat-style legacy wagon, finally. kudos mate, you are having some fun and i am enjoying your car a lot. :D

heres a question. i prefer the older front end, is that a direct swap to a 94? would i just need grill/lights/bumper/hood/fenders?

Hmm, it sure is getting a lot of positive comments, maybe I should fix it up/turbo it?

haha you need to find a mint turbo and put some dents on it then primer it.

It does look good. What about a semi-gloss black? I'm just kinda curious to see a true monochromatic car and the semi-gloss would give a similar effect as the flat, but have a little reflection.

^^^ I'll second that.

I like the steelies with the flat black, I think the semi gloss would add to it though. I wouldn't worry about those dents either, they aren't that bad.

I like it, for some strange reason. Personally, id pull the dents (dont replace the doors!) and get some new passat steelies- 16"

A little clearcoat would look pretty sweet too.

you guys are missing the point, its not supposed to be a show car.

Right, that's why I like it, it's just a nicely done non-show car.

I think if you could find a turbo for it, and new fenders/wheels (nothing blingy) but some ROTA Slipstreams or something I think you'd have a sweet sleeper.

Yeah, I'm thinking about tryin to find a cheap SS, blown trans, wrecked, something like that, since that would be the easiest way by far to do the swap. Wheels are most likely the only show thing I would do, the dents add character...lol

Well I think it looks pretty good. I would pull the dents but not worry too much about them. Maybe go back to a stock hood for a more sleeper look.
LedJetta was the last guy I thought would be into rat rods and I have to say this is the first modern one I really dig.
Gold RS rims is what I would run on there, the STi rims are a bit much.
I really like the single color, if i get my car painted I might do all the trim as well after seeing this.

Nice

I'm thinking about buying a '91 N/A wagon, and I must say, I actually like the looks of your car...

I'm not really into lowered cars that much, but it's still sweet!

do i know you? :o

on a side note, to be truly rat he needs some extremely expensive polished wheels, like some BBS RS's.

ahh... you stole my idea!

I'm gonna spray my 90 wagon in black primer, I totaly love the rat ride look, it kicks ass. :D I've got some killer dents too, might knock them out of the fender when I paint it. Basicaly I just want to make the huge custom IC scoop I'm planning on welding in soon the same color as the car, and matching the paint is way to much work.

my car was free too.... free subies are the best :D
