...now i have a few questions.
any ill effects?
any bonus other than cool sounds on a stock SS? i thought i read that some of you experienced improved throttle response. it sure looks better in there. that stupid plastic can is UGLY!
did anyone tell a target employee what you were doing w/it? if so what was the reaction?
does it need to be totally smooth inside? i would imagine it should at least be free of anything that may come loose and get sucked into the engine.

It should ideally be as smooth as possible inside. When I did it I cut the threaded parts of the barb fittings flush with the inside of the mug.

I told a pep-boys guy what I was doing (he was one of those cool ones) and we were opening every package and looking through every bin to find stuff that would work for all of the bits that needed to be peiced together.
He thought it was badass.
I never drove the car on the street with the stock bit, so I can't really compare...

use jb weld at all times unless you actualy weld it togeher. 2 ton works for a while and looks better but it comes apart after some time.
the only ill effect i have come across is that i cant walk past a ss coffe mug and not think *hmmm that would make a good intake.

We'll, I suppose it gave a little noise if you sit over on the passenger side while in the car. As for the looks of it, it all depends on how you do it. Take your time and it may look a little better then the black box.
