You need to go get some gas
Good job Hope I can make it to 200k

You also need to go faster
200k is no biggie in a BC/BF, I expect to make that, maybe make 300k while I'm at it

There is some ricer mag that has pics that people send in of mileage on their cars. I saw a pic of a cluster with 100K miles on it with the trip odometer at 1000 also and the pic was taken with the speedo at 100 mph also!

They also have cool pics of like 123456, with the trip saying 1234. Stuff like that. It pretty cool you have to plan that stuff way in advance so yout trip od matches just right.

haha, yeah, mine goes below the E and touches the gas tank symbol before I'm even close to being out of gas. Of course about that time I'm down to 2 gallons or a gallon and a half and my car can run funny. I notice that the car doesn't really like going below 2 gallons in the tank.

I found out the hard way that it actually stops running when theres <1gal. in there...

hahaha, when I get down to less than two gallons the car starts acting erratically. Weird rpms on cold start and it will stall and die on me.

I just realized that I got progressively slower as the miles increased, lol.
My family bought the car brand new.
My needle will get to the middle of the top of the "e" before my light comes on, then I can still roll forever before i need to fill up.
When you have less gas in your tank, the yuckies that get pumped into it every so often are more concentrated, so you suck more of them into your fuel filter/line, thats why your cars run poopy with very little gas in the tank, that is, unless you're a brokeass highschool student, and you run it down every tank, then they all get filtered out.

thats not "yuckies," thats air.
I like to drive the piss out of it whenever i run real low, a la italian tune up.

When i first bought the car the owner said my light didn't work. I figured he never ran it that low because I got the light to come on, but after my fuel pump electrical line had a bad connection, and I was playing with the lines down under the rear seat, my light stopped coming on. So maybe it is broken to a degree.
Well, I'm not in highschool, but with the gas prices I guess you could call me cheep. College can do that to you, also.
Well weather it is gas or "yuckies" it would still act the same I'd imagine.

My tiny fwd L's tank only holds about 11.5 gallons and I've run it down until I've had to put 11.2 gallons in it with no trouble at all. Car in fact accelerates faster which means the last remaining gallons go by quick. I replace the fuel filter frequently, so that may be the reason, but I've never touched anything else with the fuel system (225K).

MY 92 L is a 16 gallon, and when it gets 3 gal and lower i can't accelerate fast or the pump can't pick up any fuel, and the car bogs down like a mofo.

I have pics of when my car hit 100k
I have run out of gas once, about 3 miles from home. This was before I was 18 and had a debit card
My fuel light was on for about 60 miles too... Might want to make a note of that, people

All of you drive too slow. Anytime Im lower than 1/8 of a tank turns are a pain, espically right hand turns because the fuel goes over the hump and away from the pickup. The turbo pump only works when fuel is actually returning from the rail!

hehe very true Ciper. I hate the speed limits here in washington (eastern side). They are so slow just because they CAN be and it give the cops something to look out for. Most of the speed limits in this town are lower than 35. I've only gotten my tank that low here in this town (go figure). I've never gotten it that low in Sacramento.

Hope that doesn't mean I'll hit fuel starvation when I change to a 4wd tank.

evolutionmovement: As long as you keep 1/4 tank or more your fine. Assuming of course your gas gauge is accurate, if so your probably the only one on this board who has an accurate gauge!
It might actually be better, the 2wd tank lets fuel go pretty much anywhere. The 4wd tank forces the fuel to go uphill.
I guess it depends on your suspension setup as well. I still need to borrow someones G-Tech but I know Im getting fairly high sustained G's. Has anyone measured theres before?

Some how this topic of him hitting the 200 mark, became a gas topic weird but cool i guess.
Does anyone run 94 oct? my car loves it I can tell when i run anything lower.

I usually run 87(i'm cheap, and the car suffers no ill effects) but when I put 92 in before the autox, the auto tranny shifted at 64mph instead of 72 from 2nd, which I have mapped out, on my daily commute to school. Kinda curious why, any suggestions?

I run 94 a lot of the time too... Depends on whether or not I can find a Sunoco station. I can't say I really notice much of a difference though, probably because I don't stay consistent.
